Tips on how to get rid of migraine headaches fast?
77Migraine Headaches Are Different
I used to get them. I stil get the flashing "magraine auras" but fortunately not the headaches any more. Here's how I learned to self-treat over the years:
The first "cure" I heard of was a double dose of aspirin plus coffee. I was quite relieved when it actually worked! The only problem was it didn't work in all cases. A second "cure" I found was to massage the sterno-cleido-mastoideus muscle with a deep pinching, kneading grip near where it attaches to the collar bone. Although doing so activates the migraine sensations, after about 5 minutes the severity of the attack is reduced. Evidently there is a trigger point associated with this area which has referred sensation behind the eye as with migraines.
Later on I learned about Acupressure and discovered that a migraine headache was painful along the Gall Bladder points along the side of the head. So, although aspirin and coffee was a quick fix, it didn't address the cause. when aspirin and coffee didn't work, I found it was the fact that I had too much fat and meat in my diet and not enough fiber and bitter greens. So I downed some fiber and greens and took a nap. If I was lucky, it went away in a few hours.
As I learned more, I discovered that many different things can trigger a migraine, and some can be dealt with more quickly than others. Here is a rundown of causes from a Holistic perspective: http://www.holistic-online.com/Remedies/migraine/mig_causes.htm. Here is a rundown of causes from a conventional medical perspective: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/migraine-headache/DS00120/DSECTION=causes.
Although understanding the causes is not a quick fix, it helps to understand what kinds of contributing factors to eliminate, thus reducing the frequency and severity of migraines

There is a product called SinusBuster that has a reputation for eliminating migraines in about 1 minute. Yes, it works with sinus problems, too.
I heard one story of a woman who was deathly sick in bed with a migraine. Within one minute of spraying in her nose, she was up and out of bed. In 20 minutes she was dressed and out the door, and was able to attend a function that evening with no relapse.
The best to you.

Sometimes a good, relaxing rest is what I need for my bouts of migraine, but I haven't tried taking aspirin with coffee. If it worked for you, maybe it will work for me too. Thank you for sharing this!

Excedrin migraine and coffee. Dairy also worsened the migraines for me, so I take a calcium pill and eliminated milk. The next thing that works is go take a bath with the only light being a candle in the farthest corner. Also use a warm wash cloth over the eyes And forehead.

Have you tried speaking to a dyslexia specialist? It could be the White paper causing the migraine. I have to read off lime green paper to avoid getting a migraine, and to get my work done without losing focus. Get intouch with one of your teachers they should point you in the right direction.
My head hurts. A lot. No idea what to do.
I'm 17, and I have had migraines since I was little. Key elements of triggering my migraines are: little sleep, lack of food, being stressed, not enough water and sometimes too much TV. This plus, it's ALWAYS around/under my right eye. I start to feel it a little, then it goes worse, and I become super-sensitive to noice, and I loose my energy completely. Then the pain becomes so bad that I get sick, and eventually throw up. The only solution is sleep, which sucks, since the day becomes so short. I really want to figure out to get RID of this crap, it's so unfair to know that I can't do some of the things my buddies do without being killed by a damn migraine.

Thanks for the help with your post. I work for a store that just happened to carry sinus buster and amazingly it worked instantly. Burns like hell when you spray in your nose but 30 seconds of burning is better than a migraine anytime.
Where can I buy this sinus buster. Is there any side affects?a

Thanks for answering my request! I am a college student so I can't afford a lot of different things that my health insurance won't cover. I'm on chronic migraine prevention meds because I've gotten them so badly before to the point of hallucinations. So if you have any foods that aren't caffeine (that tends to trigger my migraines) that may help with migraines, please help!
